Jaane Tu... ya jaane na

Watched Jaane Tu.. last week.. Good. Infact really good. Story is nothing new people of Tamil & Malayalam as it was the same malayalam film remade with Prashanth & Shalini. It was the last film shalini acted and that too with lot messing around before the marriage (gossip??)

Well this time the movie in hindi has taken a comical shadow. Somehow I feel Bollywood knows the knack of remaking a film and making hit big hit.. okay decent hit atleast.

Both.. Jaane Tu and Bhool Bhulliyaa are remade very well. The good thing they don't copy just like that from the original.. they always add some comical stuff to it and change the screenplay entirely. After watching BB I thought BB was better than Chandramuki. With all Rajni on board its not great to give a hit like that, but BB wasn't carrying any major star cast (okay Akshay isn't a star atleast during that time) and still made a Box Office hit.

Well about Jaane Tu.. the entire screenplay was awesome. I feel like hugging & kissing the diro & team for making so loveable theme. Second the star cast.. Imran Khan - this guy is going to make big in Bollywood. If he is going to improve his dancing skills then he can bring down shiver to AK & SRK for sure. Genelia - the next good movie she did after Bommarillu. No wonder the silly; I-dont-care-attitude fits her well. She repeated the same thing that she did in Bommarillu and surprisingly it worked out well too.

Let it be photography or casting or sound or music (heard ARR; well couple of songs are excellent but the BGM wasn't imperisive) everyone did their job aptly.

Not only the main character even the supporting roles are defined properly. Sply the guitar gal. she was too good in her part. Nazeerudin sha.. man what a character artist. And three cheers to all the friends.

Overall I liked the movie very much. Why don't our Kollywood try something like this rather than always some kind of emotions and crying in their movies.

I started liking Hindi movies than Tamil these days..

BTW heard Kuselan will not be released in Bangalore?? Any update?

Both the music and presentation was too good. I was actually searching this video for long time and just got my hands on it. And do you believe the lead lady in this album is Rakhi Sawant? She looks awesome in this song . Alas ! never try to see her now. She is the most horrible actress of Bollywood.

I can't understand this, even Lindsay Lohan was pretty and beautiful when she was acting movies like "Freaky Friday" and " Just my Luck" (Heard this is the movie from which Kismat Konnection was copied ;) Will watch & tell you). But if you watch her now in any shows or movies.. waack.. I feel like hitting her :O

Anyways.. I've couple of more videos to share with you all and will do added them here as & when required :)

படங்களுக்கு சென்று கதை புரியாமல் வந்த கொடுமை உண்டு ஆனால் கதை கவனிக்காமல் வந்த கதை தெரியுமா உங்களுக்கு ? இரண்டு வாரங்களுக்கு முன்னால் தசாவதாரம் பார்த்த பொழுது கமலின் பத்து வேடங்கள்தான் நினைவில் நின்றன. கமலின் சிரத்தை கதை மட்டும் இல்லது திரைகதையிலும் நன்றாகவே தெரிந்தது.

பத்து பத்திரங்கள் இருந்தும் அமெரிக்க வில்லன் பிலேட்சேர் மற்றும் ரெங்கராஜ நம்பியை தவிர்த்து மற்றவர்கள் மனதில் நிற்க மறுக்கிறார்கள். கிருஷ்ணவேணி பாட்டி , ஜப்பானிய குங்பு வீரர், முசல்மான் கபிபுள்ள இவர்கள் காட்சிகளில் உள்ள காலி இடங்களை நிரப்பவே பயன்படிருகிறார்கள் . வின்சென்ட் பாத்திரத்தின் மூலம் குமரி மக்களின் யதார்த்தத்தினை பதிவு செய்திருக்கும் கமலுக்கு ஒரு தனி salute .

12- ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் தொடங்கும் படத்தில் எப்படி சிவனுக்கும் விஷ்ணுவுக்கும் சண்டை வளர்கிறதோ அந்த நூலினை அழகாக 20- ஆம் நூற்றாண்டிலும் கொண்டுவந்திருப்பது ரசிக வைத்தது. அது மட்டும் இல்லது, சின்ன சின்ன விஷயங்கள் கமல் காப்பாற் பொது வைணவ சின்னம் பொருந்திய வாகனத்தில் வருவது, ஓடி தபிக்க நினைக்கும் பொழுது சிவ முத்திரை பொருந்திய வாகனங்கள் துரத்துவது என நிரைய சுவாரசியங்களை தந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

Nano - in my view

JANUARY 9 2008 - Another incredible day in the Indian Business world when TATA GROUP unveiled its "People's Car" - TATA NANO on the Auto Expo held here at country capital Delhi. Not only to the surprise of other Indian Industry vetrans, but even the World's big Car Manufacturers' taken aback by the success and determination of TATA. No doubt that Nano has sidelined all the doubts raised by the industry expert on Pollution, Cost and comfort.

What made Ratan Tata to make this "People's Car"?

Basically, just as an Indian, you know, I would be as concerned of my-self as one of the rickshaw pullers in Calcutta running with a rickshaw behind with two people sitting back. It bothered me. My mind will start thinking: Can we put a bicycle there? The same thing bothers me when I visit a plant also. The workers are bending over when the work piece should be raised or maybe they should sit in a pit or what-ever. Because I think human fatigue is something that affects safety.

So in this particular case, you could not help but notice that there were three or four family members on a scooter, the kid standing in the front, the guy driving the scooter and the wife sitting side saddle holding a little kid. And when you're driving a car, you certainly say, Oh my god, be careful, they may slip. Add to that slippery roads and night time too. Any of these reasons can be dangerous for transport. That does not mean that the scooter should not exist because scooters are an evolution of bicycles and it is all the path of prosperity. - ET.

So essentially Tata is projecting this car for a family of four and still commuting in Bike or Scooter. Keeping this mind they had built the car for 632 CC Engine which is efficient enough to drive four adults. As they have not compromised with height, they had still reduced the length of the car to park it easily and again to mention the width has been increased by 6 cm. So no compromise in the comfort.This car is not for long journey, because it was not made with that objective, though Tata Motors claims so.

Nano has many best feature. But on my view, I would not claim it as People's Car. Reasons???

1. Though it says it comes for 1 Lakh, that is just the capital cost for the middle class. What about the recurring, variable cost like maintanence and petrol bills? Earlier the 2 Wheelers have to shell petrol bills monthly twice, with Nano they have to do that four times in a month. My average 2W gives 45 kmpl, while Nano can give only 15 kmpl. My variables are more than what I'm paying now. Do you think with growing fuel price, will the middle class able to sustain a car? I don’t think so.



2. Lookwise Nano is like "Soorpanagai" without nose. It doesn't give a damn to look & design of the car. Cars traditionally seen as Luxury item and a social status.



3. We have seen several business which projects as low price, low cost product manufacturer, but later some point of time, they also join the high price band soon. Air Deccan, Reliance India Mobile etc., It is just like Reliance ka Mobile released for 501 bucks and finally joined the rest of the Telecom band with regular price. Nano will also join 1.5 L or 2L before 2010 due to the impossibility of capping cost structure to 1L.



4. Though they had taken lot of pain to built the car small, still I couldn't easily find right infrastructure in the city to park it. Take chennai into consideration, where we have space to park. If I want to use this car in bangalore, I should take it out before 6 am and come back home after 11 pm. The city traffic is not mature enough to hold this kind of car. So to where does this car fit. - Rural India. they don't use car often and they make better sense in using it. It means ultimately its not going to be used by people whom it has been intimated.

Ratanji, we appreciate your product, but unless you are clear about what it has to do and to whom this is not going to help out. But my heartfelt congragulations to Ratan & his team for once again proving our capability to the World.

ஒரு Changeக்கு !

தொடர்ந்து ஒரே லவ் story-ya படிச்சதுனாலயோ என்னவோ ரொம்ப திகட்டிடுச்சு :(

இங்க போய் ஸ்ரீதேவி எழுதிய மர்டர் மிஸ்டரி படிச்சுபாருங்க. நம்ப பொன்னியின் செல்வன் கதைக்கு சூப்பரா ட்விஸ்ட் கொடுத்திருப்பாங்க!

Jab we met

Quite cool movie. After a long time I found full of energy flowing in the movie. The characters were alive and blushing their true sense throughout the movie.

Story : Frusted-young-business man(Shaid Kapoor) ditched by his GF, found himself in pool of maze in the business, suddenly leaves the empire built by his papa overnite and goes out like a nomad in search of peace. Meets Kareena Kapoor on train, who is happy go lucky kinda gal travels from Mumbai to Punjab.

They miss the train at one point and as you guess travel together to Punjab. She takes him to her home and found that family is merrying around to fix her marriage with some guy in their family, which she doesn't like and obviously as you expect both SK & KK flew away.

For godsake you think they both are in love that's not true. KK was in love with some monkey in Kulumanali and they start their journey again to meet him. Meanwhile SK was very much attracted and got impressed by KK and start falling in love. After reaching kulu, SK leaves her and goes back to Mumbai to continue his business and gets succeeded.

On the otherhand family of KK is searching for her and didn't hear anything from her for 9 months. They blame SK for ruining their family. As every hero, SK takes the responsibility of reuniting the family with KK starts his journey again to find her. After a long search he found that she got ditched by her boy friend (that monkey) and they express their love to each other. brings her back to home and lived happily after that.

Script: Story was pathetic with lot of potholes and logic less script. Normal story, but I should honestly accept SK & KK had done their part vey well. For the first time I have seen KK acting with cloths around ;)

Normally in such travel scripts directors will show off their talent in hunting locations abroad and make a fix to producers. This guy (Imtiaz Ali) has done a decent job using locations in India itself. Another worse travel movie I had seen is "Puthukotaillirunthu Saravanan". Nammba aalungala adichikave mudiyathu. They scrwed the whole movie.

Certain shots & scenes like KK introducing SK to her sister has the guy whom she has planned to marry to her (sis). The scene in 3rd grade hotel and the following police raid.

Music: Commendable work by Music Director Pritam. All the songs were rocking.

Actors: Kareena was too good. Though I don't like her, she did a really good job in the movie. Shaid was equally cool and script fits aptly for his body language and age. Both together make a good pair. Offlate heard both have separated and not dating is that so ?? ;)

P.S.: For those who don't know Hindi - Jab means When . Kathailam solliyachu poi parthuttu vanthu naan sonnen thaan parthen, kadi aagiduchu-nu yaarachum comment potta kola vizhum.
