A couple of weeks back, I went to Landmark in Forum Mall to buy a book to present to my niece. I was searching for some good story books that would suit her age (7). Looking at the huge store with thousands of books, I went nostalgic about my childhood book reading.
When I was studying in my 4 std, I was introduced to "Chacha Choudry" comic, that was the first book, I've read apart from my school books. My mom used to lend it from her office collegues, which heavily helped me to while out my times during holidays.
Later we subscribed to Ambulimama which also went long for a year. Gokulum, which we started subcribing at the age of 11 changed my life from Comical to something realistic. Articles & How-to-do stuff in Gokulum where my favourites. During my 10th Summer holidays, I got registered myself to the local library, which upgraded my reading habit from Children Books to Thrillers & Novels. Those where times I used to LIVE at Libraries. I start from my home at 9:30 after my mom leaves to office and will be back at 1pm for lunch and again start at 3 pm and will be there till 7pm. Novels of N C Mohandas, Rajesh Kumar, Pattukottai Prabhakar , Sujatha etc where my life in those periods.
During my 11 std holidays I started buying books from Chennai Book Fair. The Book fair showed the Dangerous man in me. I bought books for Rs.5000 and completed all (nearly 30) books within 3 months of time. Book fair introduced me to various other authors and poets. Only to Desi :)
During my college days, I had little access to books apart from study related. To improve my English Knowledge, one of my friend suggested to read English Novels of Sheldon. Somehow, I never liked the way SS wrote his books. May due to the fact that I need to carry Oxford Dictionary throughout the completion of novel :D
My favourite in English Authors was James Hadley Chase. Again thrillers and nothing more than that. After joining my first Job, I had liberty to spend on books again, which poped up the terror of buying books for Rs.3K at Book fair.
During my Higher Studies, I used to read all kind of books in my College Library. I had a reputation of borrowing all the books at least once from my library and the effective user of the same :) Though I never claimed to read everything.
Now back to start, finally I chose to buy a TinTin Comic book, which was priced almost 10 % of my monthly salary :) Books are getting costly now-a-days !

Public Sunts at its Heights !!!
Today had a chance to see one of the ugliest Public Stunts showcased by a TV channel & Actor. You guessed it right, I'm talking about Jodi No.1 Season 2 telecasted in Vijay TV on which Simbhu is one of the Jury.Earlier a couple of episode ago there were some ruff & tuff telecasted about the performance of Krithika's Mother on the Judgement. Just because to add some spicy to their show they started telecasting these non-sense. Bloddy this is just a TV Show & Game. You don't have to show anything that happens behind the screens. In case you need, still have a space called Bloopers. Why do you play with the emotions of people out there? The same thing was already taken note from PK's blog post on Airtel Super Singer Junior.

This time it is with someone , who is known to the industry well about his performance and acting. I'm talking about Babloo. Damn, if you don't like the way he danced you can comment on that. But why you are bothered if he is angry on you or not?
Its good to know that you appreciate when people do things well. But who gave you the permission to disgrace when someone did it wrong? Well, if you think that with a few drops from your eyes would settle things well then I'm sorry dude. Its not this way.
I seriously don't understand why the co-participants haven't tried stopping Babloo when he walked out of the stage, while they ran behind Simbhu? Is it because he is a Actor at Silver Screen?? Why this partiality is there?
There are many unanswered questions revolving around. Ultimately its the TV's TRP ratings which would have gone at its peak, due to the promos it had floated around during the past week.

"Live in Bangalore with Rajni Sir-uuu"
Have you heard these lines somewhere?? Well these are from Radio One Bangalore. Very similar ones for Chennaites would be Mokka Macchan of Radio Mirchi. Though I'm not a regular radio listener, my travel time pass is always Radio One or Radio City. One reason they play many Hindi songs, second they know other ways of entertaining the people.
Take this Radio ONE ka "Live in Bangalore with Rajni Sir", a teaser kind of short program comes for max of a minute where someone mimic as Rajni got caught in some kind of trouble and how he solved it in his style. I wonder how else they can exploit his style & mannerism. Rather than touching upon the usual things, they tried to make it simple & funny.
Similar one is Chamrajpet Charles. The style and the way of presentation was really good. They come up with some really stupid & peppy idea and start mimic it in a comical way.
Radio City on the other hand gives cool & nice songs without sometime even breaks. They have good concepts on which their RJs work and the output is also commendable. Radio Mirchi, though they are in Bangalore for quite long time, I couldn't find much competitive to others. Not even to the Chennai Radio Mirchi. Rather S FM (our Suryan FM), Fever 104 etc., are doing good job in this space.
If you happens to be in bangalore, just hear a few of them . You'll love it!

Break @ Mysore
Last weekend went to Mysore to meet my friend Arun. He was barging me every weekend to come to mysore.. Eventhough I was not in a mood to go, due to his continous efforts :) I started on the later half of saturday.
It was't much difficult to catch a Mysore bus from KGBS as services are categorised very well. These buggers drive a A/C Airavath bus to Mysore (3 hrs journey) at a cost of Rs.180. Quite surprising but we had a heavy rush to it. I found a govt company's understanding of customer surprising. Either ways, I'm not so wealthy or generous to shell out 200 bucks for 3 hr journey, so took Rajahamsa for Rs.120 ( except A/C & Water bottle everything was pretty much okay)
The bus stopped near a place called Madur. This place was very famous for its Vada (Madur Vada). I use to have 2 vadas for Rs.5, four years back during my Project Work @ Tumkur. Now the rates are changed to one vada for Rs.5 . But not bad the taste remains the same. Bought a few vadas for my friend too (Tamilar panpadu, should not go empty handed)
Reached Mysore at 6pm. And went to his home straight. The next day planned to go Chamundi hills early morning so that we can have a nice sun rise experience at Hill. But as usual we lazy buggers got up at 8am. Rushed by taking bath and went straight up the hill in 30 mins by his bike.
Mannn! riding a bike on those roads was really good. Unlike other hills, Chamudi has a relatively (or no) hair pin bends making you very comfortable for travel. Moreover the roads are wide enough for two bus to travel at a time in opposite direction.
Went first to the temple and found to be very crowded. Cursed our luck took a spl darshan ticket for Rs.20 each and wet inside the temple. The architecture of temple was excellent. I concentrated much on Devi outside rather than one inside the temple ;)
Then came down and went to Infosys campus where my friend works... Neat & Nice campus. To be honest I haven't seen any campus of that much huge area in the recent past. Right from Football court to Cricket practise net to Salon shop to Departmental store everything was built up inside and they are very well maintained too. But for a strength of 12K people that campus seems to be tooo big. Anyways looking at the growth of Infy over the past 2 years, they justify the need & neccesity to have such campus.
Then after Lunch at campus ( Pathetic Chicken Biriyani :( ), we came back to room as there was no other place to roam around or not interested to being a dry area on sunday afternoon ( Should ask NRM to stop those bloody shows in their multiplex on sunday afternoon)
Evening we went to Palace. It was another awesome place with full of lights on them. Palace was really glittering making the whole surrounding a paradise. Alas it lasted only for 1 hours as the palace was closed at 8pm. Came back to room and slept early as I've planned to catch the bus next day morning.
Somehow got the bus for Bangalore. Being Monday morning , people where racig to their office. Surprisingly my company gave a off for Janmashtami :)

Marriage Hiccups
First thing first...
Congrats to my friend Sanju Baba for his "new" marriage life. Wishing him a long & prosperous married life.
After a long time, thought of writing something very serious in this blog. Don't know whether its apt for me to discuss here, but if someone can give me a few idea how to solve the problem, I would be greatfull to them.
I have a friend, who was in love with a gal for about 4 years. Both belonged to different caste and you don't need any other reason to tear them apart. That gal was very crazy on him , but doesn't want to go against her father. So as usual(unlike our tamil cinema) in regular family, she tied knot with someone else, who damn know about her past love.
Problem is she couldn't forget this idiot and she wants him to take her somewhere from her husband. Though he is equally mad, somehow GYAN from friends like me and others hold him till now from taking any stupid steps.
Finally one fine day ( exactly 67 days of marriage) husband came to know about the affair and started thinking in a way usual husband would do. No one can blame the hubby as he have to keep up his family reputation. He is in a dillemma whether to keep her with him, inspite of knowing that she is not faithfull to him and have a fear she would fled away with my friend anytime.
What should we do in this case. I'm quite confused with the gal & my friend. Though their love is pure, we ca admit them after marriage. Its better to be away from the gal and help the guy to lead a peaceful life.
